Sustainability Management Plan
Adopted in 2023, the Sustainability Management Plan serves as the Airport Authority's roadmap for incorporating sustainability into planning, design, construction, maintenance and airport operations. It provides the framework for setting priorities, measuring progress and helping RDU:

Recycling at RDU
Recycling is an important part of the Airport Authority's sustainability program. Recycling containers are located throughout the terminals for common recyclable materials.
Accepted materials include paper free of food or grease contamination, cardboard and paperboard, plastic bottles, glass bottles, and aluminum and metal cans.
