Use these tips for a smooth travel day at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Before You Leave

Arrival Times
Arrive at least two hours before domestic flights and at least three hours before international flights to allow for parking, check-in and security.
Free WiFi
Stay connected with high-speed internet. Select the "RDU Free WiFi" network.

Hydration Stations
Bring an empty water bottle and fill it at our filtered water stations located near most restrooms after you pass through security.
Passenger Drop-off and Pick-up
Security Screening
Help make your trip through security as smooth as possible.
Security checkpoints are reserved for ticketed passengers. Airlines may issue a gate pass for one person accompanying a minor child or a passenger who needs assistance.
Keep your bags with you at all times and never accept items from someone you do not know.
If you accidentally bring a prohibited item, you can mail eligible items home at Airport Mailer locations near each security checkpoint instead of discarding them.
